About Malheur Records

Malheur County Busted Mugshots is a privately operated reference for finding the government offices that hold booking, custody, and court information. Malheur County does not publish a live online jail roster or a routine booking feed, and Oregon law limits agency release of booking photographs. The useful route is therefore the responsible office, its records process, and the court case, not a photo gallery.

Why This Reference Exists

A jail intake, a police incident, and a court case are related but are not the same record. In Malheur County, the Sheriff operates the correctional facility in Vale, a city department may hold the incident report, and the Malheur Circuit Court records what happens after a charge. Oregon Department of Corrections records address a later state-custody or supervision stage. This reference collects those official paths so a reader can start with the source that fits the question.

It does not collect names, host arrest files, or display booking photographs. That distinction matters here because ORS 133.870 generally restricts a law-enforcement agency’s release of a booking photo. A missing image or an absent online result does not establish anything about an individual’s case.

What the Pages Cover

The pages are organized around the records routes that the official materials actually support.

  • The home page explains the Malheur jail telephone route, written Sheriff records requests, court-disposition search, Oregon DOC locator, and other separate custody systems.
  • Ontario, Nyssa, and Vale pages distinguish a city incident report from a County booking record and identify the local agency contact that is documented.
  • The Wanted Fugitives page explains the Sheriff’s safety notice and the official way to seek procedural direction about a warrant.
  • Arrest News identifies current regional reporting as a news lead, then routes a reader back to the agency and court record.

What This Site Cannot Do

This is not a government service and has no affiliation with the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office, the jail, Oregon DOC, a police department, or a court. It cannot release a person, accept bail, retrieve an official record, or interpret a case. Agency information changes, so source pages and office confirmations remain controlling.

  • It cannot confirm present custody, a release, a warrant, or the content of a record.
  • It cannot make a record public when Oregon law requires withholding or redaction.
  • It cannot provide legal advice or decide whether a record qualifies to be set aside.
  • It cannot guarantee that a listed address, fee, calendar, or office procedure remains current.

Only the office that created or holds a record can confirm its current status, and a court disposition is the controlling update to a booking allegation.

Search Partners

Some pages contain search boxes supplied by outside providers. Those providers set their own prices, terms, and data practices. If a visitor follows a partner tool to a paid service, this site may receive a referral fee that helps support the reference. That arrangement does not give this site control over a partner’s results, billing, or availability.
